COURSE OF B.SC NAUTICAL SCIENCE Eligibility Pass in HSC/ISC (10+2) with mathematics, physics and chemistry with a PCM average of not less than 60% also should obtain 50% in English either in 10th or 12th Std Exam. Candidates are selected as per DGS Guide Lines. Age Limit Age limit on the date of commencement of course: Minimum 17 years and maximum 25 years on the date of commencement of course. Physical Standards All candidates should be physical fit for the sea service. As per M.S (Medical Examination for seafarers) Rules 2000 as amended from time to time. Also, final selection will be subject to medical fitness as per DGS Guide Lines. GP Rating The duration of the Pre-Sea Training Course For General Purpose Ratings is 6 months. The course is fully residential as per the Directorate General of Shipping norms, requiring all the trainees to reside in-house.
